Dragon Maritime Group, as an agent of “COSCO Shipping Lines Co.” donated protective medical equipment to the Government of the Republic of Serbia in the fight against #COVID19.

On May 11, 2020 in Belgrade, Dragon Maritime Group handed over the donation to the Government of the Republic of Serbia, as an expression of solidarity and support to the Government’s efforts in combating the consequences of the COVID19 pandemic. The final shipmentof aid was delivered on May 10 from Shanghai, on a special flight of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

The President of the Dragon Maritime Group, Erich Cossutta, and the General Manager of Dragon Maritime SEE, Vladimir Lekić, symbolically handed over a donation of 100,000 protective masks and 700 protective overalls, which was received by the State Secretary prof. Dr. Berislav Vekić, on behalf of the Ministry of Health and the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

On that occasion, he expressed his gratitude to the Dragon Maritime Group for its significant contribution in the fight against the pandemic for all citizens of Serbia, and expressed the  importance of the help provided by the socially responsible Chinese companies  to Serbia in these difficult times.

Dragon Maritime Group will continue with similar actions in order to provide support to health institutions and all other institutions in Serbia. In addition to the donation to the Government of the Republic of Serbia, a donation was also made to the Institute for Orthopedic Surgery “Banjica”, the Institute for Health Protection of Mother and Child of Serbia “Dr. Vukan Cupic” and the Anti-Corruption Agency.
